He takes a deep breath, noting the all-too-familiar scent of saltwater mixed flowers. The bustling noise of the day has faded to a sleepy lull. Ahead, shadowed boats drift silently along the darkened waterways, their lanterns casting flickering reflections on the water.

He'll have to move quietly, weaving through the canals without drawing attention under the faint glow of the Calyx.

His first stop? A hidden garden courtyard in Bellvine Hill, where a noble's handmaiden waits to receive a letter from a secret admirer. The map in his hand is little more than a rough sketch; tonight, relying on memory and instinct will be just as critical as discretion.

He was told to use a specific courier boat... and that's exactly what he's doing. But as Verso kneels by the boat's hatch, he realizes the small lock won't budge no matter how he fiddles with it.]
